World Book Day 7th March

Hello,

World book day will be held on Thursday 7th March this year and we are inviting the children to dress up as a character from their favourite book. These can be characters that require a costume or a character which involves them dressing in their own clothes. This year, each class will be reading a special book and completing work all day related to this. We hope this can be a fun day for all the children.

We will be sending home £1 book tokens and a sample of the books which can be purchased can be seen below.

Choir will rehearse today after school from 3:15 to 4:10pm.

 

 

Telford Sings reminder:

Children in the choir will be able to be picked up at 3pm on Thursday 14th March to allow enough time to have a snack and arrive at Charlton school for 4pm. Spectators (remember to purchase your tickets) are allowed to arrive from 5:15pm onwards. The concert begins at 6pm and is scheduled to last for one hour.

Children can bring a packed lunch/snack with them to the rehearsal which they can have before the concert begins.

4pm   Arrive Charlton school

4.15-5.30pm  Rehearsal workshop

5.30pm  Break

Concert 6-7pm (Doors open from 5:15pm)

Charlton School Theatre, Apley Avenue, Wellington, Telford

Keeping children safe online parent workshop 12.3.24

Keeping children safe online parent workshop: Tuesday 12 March 2024 5.30-6.30pm

With more access than ever before to phones and other technology, it can be difficult to understand how to keep your child safe in an increasingly digital world.

The workshop is fully funded and will cover:

  • What online harm is and online gang recruitment.
  • Ways you can effectively help and support your children
  • Understand why and how children can become victims
  • How your response can support your child
  • An award-winning approach to support young people at risk of exploitation
  • Delivery by lived experienced professionals
